Do I need poker experience to participate?

Not at all. Poker Power is designed for people who are new to the game. We teach the fundamentals of poker through experiences that emphasize life skills like negotiation, strategic decision-making, and composure — no prior gameplay required.

Is any gambling involved?

No. Poker Power is a non-gambling platform. No money is exchanged at any point. All gameplay is for educational purposes only.

How is poker used to teach life skills?

We use the structure of poker—risk, reward, reading people, and decision-making—as a framework to develop real-world skills. The goal is to help you build confidence, strategic awareness, and presence, not master poker for competitive play.

What age group is this designed for?

Our programs are best suited for participants age 13 and older. All experiences are designed to be accessible, age-appropriate, and focused on personal development.

When can I get started?

We offer virtual and live events regularly. Beginner-level workshops are available monthly. You can register directly from our website or reach out to inquire about upcoming sessions.

Learning Experience

What are the workshops like?

Sessions are instructor-led and focused on learning by doing. They include guided poker hands, reflection, and open discussion. Workshops can be delivered virtually or in person and are designed to emphasize confidence, communication, and decision-making—not technical poker mastery.

Do I need to be good at math or strategy to join?

Our workshops are built to meet people where they are. We focus on mindset, communication, and practical skill-building, not complex probability, or technical game theory.

Do I need to attend every session?

While each session builds on the previous one, we understand that schedules vary. Participants who miss a session can request follow-up materials or alternative options depending on availability.

Instructors & Ambassadors

Can I become an instructor?

Yes — if you already have a working knowledge of poker. We’re always looking for confident communicators with strong presentation and facilitation skills. While we don’t require expert-level poker mastery, instructors must meet a minimum threshold of fluency and comfort leading gameplay.

What’s the difference between an ambassador and an instructor?

Ambassadors are learning partners and mission advocates. They help grow our reach and may support live events, but they do not lead workshops. Instructors are trained to guide lessons and must already know how to play.

Do ambassadors need to know poker before joining?

No. We teach ambassadors everything they need to know through a supportive, hands-on training process.

Is this a poker training platform?

No. Poker Power is not designed to create professional poker players. Our experiences use poker as a tool to teach life and leadership skills.
